There are multiple ways to track your time in Q.
The fastest way is to click the stopwatch icon in the sidebar.
Here you can simply start the time tracking by clicking "Start". Optionally, you can add a description, as well as a project and a task. You will also see your daily working time displayed in the circle above. The circle will fill green once you have started the time tracking. If you just want to add start and end dates for your working time, you can click the "+" button next to the circle.
Here, a pop-up will open, and you can enter the following options:
- Start Time
- End Time
- Slider to set the duration
- Type of work
- Billable or non-billable
Depending on your permissions, you may not be able to change the user.
Via the pink "+" button
You can also get to this pop-up when clicking the same button on your dashboard or by clicking the plus icon in the sidebar and selecting "New Time Tracking" or via your Dashboard when clicking the "+" button.
Via My Tasks
If you want to track time on one of your tasks you can also go to "My Tasks" and start the time tracking by clicking on the play button. The same procedure can be done if you want to do it for a specific project rather than a task. For that you need to select "Projects" in the sidebar instead of "My Tasks".
Via My Time Tracking
Last but not least you may also go to "My Time Tracking" and add a record by using the timeline. Simply click on the starting time and drag your mouse to the end time. Q will automatically calculate the amount of time you selected and the pop-up will show so you can add all additional information.
Also, you have the possibility to create a time tracking entry in the "My Week" overview. Therefore you need to click on the "My Week" filter. Here you can click on the "+" symbol to add a new time tracking entry. Additionally you can edit your recorded time tracking or you can change the day via Drag&Drop.
